Who we are
Kadai (“we”, “us”) provides multi-tenant point-of-sale and related business tools for retail shops in India. This policy explains what we collect when you use kadai.app and related subdomains, and why.
What we collect
- Account data — name, email, and authentication details when you sign up or sign in (including via Google OAuth when you choose it).
- Business data — tenant profile, products, orders, payments, inventory, staff roles, and settings you enter into the product.
- Storefront / customer data — information customers provide when ordering on a shop subdomain (for example contact details needed to fulfil an order).
- Technical data — device/browser type, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, and diagnostic logs needed to keep the service reliable and secure.
How we use data
- Operate POS, inventory, analytics, and storefront features you enable.
- Authenticate users, enforce roles, and protect against abuse.
- Send transactional email (verification, password reset, invitations).
- Monitor reliability, debug incidents, and improve the product.
We do not sell personal data.
Sharing
We use infrastructure and service providers (hosting, auth, email, error monitoring) that process data on our instructions. Shop owners control their own tenant data and any customer data collected through their storefront. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
Retention
We retain account and business data while your tenant is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your account; some records may remain where we are required to keep them.
Your choices
You can update profile and business settings in-product, request access or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and opt out of non-essential communications. Contact us using the details below.
